    Just like when you go to school. Preparing for a job interview is still homework, because if you don’t spend enough time in doing this, it could cost you the whole job.

    So, if you want to make a good impression, research on the organization or the company, the industry which it belongs and even the competitors. Taking some time on Google will able you to learn more about the company background and can provide you with necessary and valuable information.

    Here are some ways in which your homework can help you land a job:

    One: You will know what the company envisions and their mission, the company culture and even how they communicate.

    Two: You can read recent and updated articles, press releases, and even financial reports to have an in depth idea of the organization.

    Three:You can have the idea on what really matters to the organization and prepare answers to some certain questions that they are likely to ask.

    Four: You may know the key members of the management team and with whom you may be meeting with.

    Five: You can search for things you might have something in common with the interviewer, so that you will establish rapport and be connected easily and naturally.

    Six: You can impress the interviewer by having a good insight of the competitors and the challenges the industry is in current status quo.

    Seven : You can find out what are the types of salaries, benefits and compensation typical jobs in this field offer and increase your negotiating skills when an offer is made.

    Just always remember, that this homework works both ways. Just be aware that the organization or company may also done their homework on you. They also have probably “googled” you and maybe gone to your social network accounts. These things are easily obtained and are reflection to your values, ethics, and character
